Nursing Home Medics

Nursing Home Medics (NHM) is a medical visiting service based at My Doctors Clinic Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast, Queensland, run by a group of experienced GPs who travel to aged care residents in nursing homes rather than operating a residential facility themselves. The service provides multi-disciplinary care including management of complex medical, surgical, cognitive, and psychiatric conditions, as well as end-of-life care, falls prevention, and pain management. Bulk-billed allied health services — including dietitian, physiotherapist, exercise physiologist, podiatrist, and psychologist — are available to nursing home residents through the service. The team has access to specialist geriatrician Dr Mohammed Khateeb, who specialises in dementia, mood and behaviour management, and mental capacity assessment.
