Cooinda House

Cooinda House is a Commonwealth Government-funded, 60-bed specialised residential aged care facility located in the Redcliffe CBD at Kippa-Ring, Queensland, operated by Metro North Health (Queensland Government). The facility caters to residents requiring a secure dementia environment as well as those with intellectual disability, psychogeriatric, bariatric, or complex aged care needs, and is an authorised mental health service provider. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team with 24-hour registered nursing and legislated nurse ratios, supported by allied health including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dietetics, podiatry, and social work. Accommodation is arranged across six wings of single rooms (with ensuite or shared ensuite), including a dedicated 12-bed secure wing, plus communal spaces such as a 1960s Diner, Sports Den with pool table, outdoor courtyards, and an undercover walking track. Visiting hours are open 24/7 and the facility is within walking distance of Redcliffe Hospital.
