Mountain View Lodge

Mountain View Lodge is a 47-bed residential aged care facility located in Cessnock, NSW, operated by Northern Coalfields Community Care (NCCCA), a community-based not-for-profit organisation. Each resident has a single room with built-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom, and the facility primarily targets low-level care needs while supporting residents through changing care requirements over time. NCCCA provides 24-hour clinical and personal care delivered by registered nursing staff and two permanently onsite Nurse Practitioners who can prescribe medications, manage wounds, and coordinate referrals. The facility includes fully equipped palliative care suites and a secure dementia-specific area with sensory gardens, supported by a lifestyle programme offering bus outings, exercise classes, arts and crafts, in-house concerts, movies, and shopping trips. External allied health services including physiotherapy, podiatry, dietetic, and dental services are available on site, and all meals are freshly prepared in an onsite kitchen with input from an independent dietitian.
