Ngoonbi Community Services Indigenous Corporation in Atherton is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation providing community services, support, and aged care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people on the Atherton Tablelands and surrounding Far North Queensland region. Ngoonbi provides culturally safe support that acknowledges the deep connections between Indigenous Elders and their communities, Country, and family, working to ensure older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people on the Tablelands can access services that respect their cultural identity and lived experience. The organisation also delivers a range of social, family, and community programmes underpinned by Indigenous governance and self-determination principles.
