Nanyima Aged Care Community

Nanyima Aged Care Community is a not-for-profit residential aged care home at 61 Alexandra St, Mirani, Queensland — about 35 minutes' drive west of Mackay in the Pioneer Valley. Established in 1993, it has served the local community for over 30 years and is part of the Apollo Care Alliance. The community is organised into smaller households with light-filled private rooms, each with its own ensuite, and offers permanent, respite, dementia and palliative care with 24/7 nursing. A dedicated memory support household provides specialist dementia care, and the refundable accommodation deposit is publicly stated at $450,000–$500,000. Residents enjoy a resident-driven lifestyle program, freshly made meals from an on-site kitchen, on-site Chapel services and pastoral support, and a 4-star overall My Aged Care rating.
