Benjamin Short Grove is an accredited residential aged care facility in Orange, NSW, operated by Mission Australia, providing care for up to 60 men and women who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or experiencing financial or social disadvantage. The facility offers low-level residential aged care for those with ACAT approval, with 24-hour nursing and medical support on-site. Each resident has their own furnished room with ensuite, plus access to communal dining and lounge areas. A high proportion of residents have mental health and/or drug and alcohol-related illnesses, and the facility actively welcomes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse individuals, and LGBTIQA+ residents. Accommodation costs for the majority of residents are supported (concessional) by the federal government.
