Wheatfields Inc. is a not-for-profit, community-owned residential aged care facility located in Freeling, South Australia, approximately one hour north of Adelaide. The facility currently operates 53 beds and is expanding to 72 beds through a staged development project, with Stage 1 (33 new beds) opening in December 2025. It provides residential care, respite support, and specialised dementia care in a cottage-style environment, with all rooms featuring ensuites. The facility is undergoing a significant renovation that will include state-of-the-art amenities such as a wellness centre, cinema, café, landscaped gardens, and BBQ areas. RAD prices for single and double ensuites range from $550,000 to $750,000, and 24-hour trained nursing staff are on duty.
