This facility specialises in residential care for people living with advanced dementia, particularly those who display high-risk behaviours and need a secure environment. It offers a home-like setting within four single-level cottages, designed in a 'Californian Bungalow' style, with separate accommodation for males and females. Each cottage has its own living and dining areas, sensory rooms, and secure courtyards, all surrounding a central garden. The outdoor areas include unique features like a men's shed, a 'chook' shed, putt-putt, and a sensory garden with an aviary. Located south of Waterfall, NSW, adjacent to a state conservation area, it's a 104-bed facility operated by the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, with a history dating back to 1909, though the current purpose-built facility opened in 2000.
