Cheriton Retirement Village Residential

200 Stewart St, Bathurst NSW 2795, Australia

Cheriton (RFBI Bathurst Masonic Retirement Village) is an independent living retirement village at 200 Stewart Street, Bathurst NSW, operated by RFBI (Royal Freemasons' Benevolent Institution), a not-for-profit organisation with Freemasonry roots. The village comprises 21 apartments — three one-bedroom and eighteen two-bedroom — all with en-suite bathrooms and emergency call systems, and is co-located with an RFBI residential aged care centre. Originally opened in 1989 with 13 units and expanded to 21 by 1992, the village was named 'Cheriton' by its first resident after a village in England. Residents enjoy landscaped gardens, a community hall, village bus outings, and regular visits from a hairdresser and podiatrist. The village is a short walk or bus ride from Bathurst's town centre, shops, and health services.
