Bilyara Hostel

Bilyara, known formally as Cowra Retirement Village, is a community-owned not-for-profit aged care provider located 2.5km from the Cowra CBD in NSW, operating since 1988 adjacent to the Japanese Gardens with views over the Lachlan River and Valley. The facility is an 84-bed residential aged care home with all single rooms with ensuites, including a 14-bed dementia-specific wing called Ganya Cottage. The village also offers independent living units for over-55s across two precincts — Kalyan Court (25 units) and Kiah Place (9 units) — as well as Support at Home and Commonwealth Home Support Programme services. It is the largest residential aged care provider in its catchment area, caring for approximately 170 residents across residential and community settings.
