Wheatfields Inc. is a not-for-profit, community-owned residential aged care facility located in Freeling, South Australia, approximately one hour north of Adelaide. The facility currently operates 53 beds and is undergoing a major expansion to 72 beds, with new buildings opening in stages from December 2025. Wheatfields provides residential and respite care with 24-hour trained nursing staff, offering single and double rooms with ensuites at RAD prices from $550,000 to $750,000. The new facilities will include a cinema, café, gymnasium, wellness centre, palliative care suite, and dementia-specific cottage-style environments with landscaped gardens and BBQ areas. The organisation emphasises person-centred care and creating a warm, dignified community atmosphere for residents.
